Time Management Techniques By: David Korn
Time management success involves many components. Once you are able to work on all of these components, time management will come naturally. It is best to work on small parts at a time. Then you can piece it all together. If you find a lot of it to be difficult, I would recommend focusing most of your efforts on prioritizing. And if you lack the necessary will power, ask others to give you that push. Prioritizing is one of the most important features of time management. The idea is to determine what is urgent or not. Activities that require your immediate attention are of the most importance. Most activities, such as work, banking, and other necessary chores are also important. Sitting around and doing nothing can fit in the unimportant category, of course. Once you are skilled at prioritizing, other components of time management will help. These include being able to negotiate with others, eliminating or minimizing distractions, and planning your time effectively. Integrating many components will help you become a master of time in no time! |
