The Art of Daydreaming

By: David Korn

When we think of daydreaming, we usually think of children. They are able to freely imagine anything to do with life without worrying about it being silly. As adults, we tend to lose that grip from childhood. Surely, some adults still act and behave like children. But, the majority of us evolved into mature individuals. Why then do we stop the free-flowing daydreaming?

Daydreaming is very good for us. Inventors, creators, and inspirers had to daydream of something. And it led them to greatness when the ideas came to life. I believe it is important we set aside some time to let the mind daydream. You can come up with ideas out of nowhere that will lead you in many great directions.

Due to our busy lives, we have trouble finding time to let our minds wander. We also feel it is silly or a waste of time to daydream. There are positive benefits such as freeing yourself from distraction, relieving some stress, opening your mind, and discovering your potential. Try not to let the negative thoughts about daydreaming stop you.

How often do we feel good when someone says they were thinking of you? I’m sure we all do to some extent. That is daydreaming in the works. Our minds have unforeseen power within them that can influence the outside world. I would like for you to utilize the capabilities of your mind to do good in this world. One day our thoughts may turn into reality.
