Seeking Knowledge By: David Korn
Seeking knowledge through introspection, or looking within yourself, is beneficial. Observing your thoughts, feelings, and experiences helps you to gain knowledge about yourself from within. It is important to know yourself through this manner in order to adapt to the outside world. Over time, you should get a better understanding of how you work. That way, you can accommodate yourself in appropriate situations. Another way to seek knowledge is through extrospection, or looking outside of yourself. Observing situations and events that occur outside of you is also important. Many things happen externally beyond our control. Sometimes we can act upon external circumstances, but knowing what is happening is important for adaptation. Learning about a situation and fully observing it will help you to get more acquainted with it. Acquiring knowledge can be done in several other common ways. This includes reading, writing, conversing, experiencing, and so on. It is recommended to always seek out knowledge to improve yourself and others. In general, the more knowledge you have, the more opportunities you can create for yourself. It is also important to share your knowledge. Being bright is a great attribute to have, but having others benefit from your knowledge can be even greater. Knowing yourself and learning about other things will help to give you more fulfillment in life. Many people find it difficult to be without knowing. Many even fear the unknown. Therefore, it is natural to desire knowledge. In addition, many emotional disturbances such as anxiety and depression are due to a lack of knowledge. Knowledge will help you in many different ways and knowing something that is important may prove invaluable. |
