Lifelong Learning By: David Korn
Reading books is one of the greatest ways to engage in lifelong learning. They are easily accessible and provide a wealth of information. Unfortunately, statistics show that not many people read as much as they should. I would recommend always having a book to read, as an ongoing process. The library is a great way in providing free access to books. The internet has become a great source for learning. The amount of information is tremendous and you can find almost anything you want instantly. Learning for life on the internet is fast, easy, and convenient. You can read articles, blogs, excerpts, news headlines, ebooks, and much more. If you don’t have access to the internet, libraries and other venues provide access for free. Universities and schools provide lifelong learning education. This is also a great tool for learning and acquiring knowledge. You can learn together in a group, listen to lectures, or even teach others. Sometimes people prefer to learn in groups or have fun while doing so. Pick courses that you would find most interesting and yield you the most benefit. Actively engaging in lifelong learning can give you the edge. Many people may feel that learning is boring. Well, it can be a great source of fun in the right circumstances. There are always plenty of opportunities to learn and fun ways in doing so. I encourage you to participate in lifelong learning for the benefit of yourself and for others. |
